New Blood Warrior fabric patches + pins

Last night my friend Greg from the band blood warrior hung out and made some diy patches on fabric and some pins. I recently had the pleasure of designing his new album for the band which will be released in a few months and we have been brainstorming little merch ideas for him to have until the record is released. We are also working on a tshirt design that will be printed at a later time.

Greg also sings for the band o’death which have been a favorite of mine for awhile. If you are a fan of that band you will probably also like blood warrior. It is much more stripped down and has less instruments. Take a listen here, and look out for the new album Letter Ghost.

Birds in a Row on Wooden Panels for Bangor’s The Rock and Art Shop

Dead Bird Paintings - Kris Johnsen 2014
Recently I was asked to take part in a large group art show at the Rock and Art Shop in Bangor, Maine. This is a shop that I sell prints, T’s and patches at and have visited on occasion and is a really amazing place! The idea behind the show is about 30 artists all get 3, 5-5in wood panels to make art on. I decided to keep with a theme I was already working on for the new Blood Warrior album and have these relate. Two of the birds are part of the record packaging and one is an extension of it. The panels do not say Blood Warrior of have any text. I’m really happy with how these came out and they were really fun to work on. The panels are up at the shop now along with many other great artists. Each panel is $50 and only available through the Gallery. I believe there is an Opening/Closing Party for the show on December 5th. Or atleast that is when it is up until. If you are around Bangor please stop by and see my pieces!

Moe. Test Prints!

Moe. test printed posters - Kris Johnsen 2012

During the making of this poster I got a lot of great test prints out of it. Meaning, while screen printing I always keep a number of sheets of paper on the side to test colors, test prints and print on if there is a clog or anything in the screen. I always use old posters that I have messed up so eventually they turn into their own one-of-a-kind posters that will never be re created again even if I tried.

All posters are 12.5in.-19in. All are completely different and may contain prints on the reverse side and or small dings and dents. These are test prints after all. I can also supply more detailed pictures of a certain posters if you would like.

These are all for sale for $30 plus s+h. If you would like to purchase one please do so at my Etsy Site here, please specify which poster you are purchasing. The original poster is for sale at my Etsy Store.

If there is a SOLD! sign on the print or below it then it is all gone. Thanks!
