Hello all! If you have been one of the people that has kept checking in on my blog thanks you and I’m sorry that it’s been very very slow the past year. Things in my life and art career have really taken off and have started to take up a lot of my free time that I used to spend uploading tons of process pictures here. I still do a little of that on my Instagram but I still don’t feel like its the same. I miss keeping a blog and almost treating it like a journal of my art life with little bits of my private like intertwined.
My late new years resolution is to use the thing Facebook a lot less and always go to this first for keeping people up to date. Yes, it’s not as instant as people might need these days but really is Facebook instant gratification anymore? I feel like I miss half of the things that get posted on there anyways and almost feel more confused. I do enjoy the Instagram though!
So some new things about me…
- I’ve been collecting records a lot more frequently and have been posting about them a little bit and will probably do so on this blog. Expect lots of emo and post rock records. Though I do need to work on my hip hop collection which is pretty sad.
- I still work, help out at and sell art and vintage wares at my favorite shop Pinecone+Chickadee in Portland, ME.
- In the past year I’ve started to work part time in Westbrook, ME at the Dana Warp Mill for my good friend Erin Flett who runs her own line of designer pillows, fabrics, tea towels, wall art and much much more! I do a ton of screen printing along with her husband Maslen.
- My girlfriend Jess and I have also started to beautify our apartment. We’ve been collecting and treasure hunting and I’m finally at a point in my life where I’ve been buying stuff for myself. I went through a long period where if it wasn’t an art supply I wasn’t buying anything really. I moved apartments a lot and was in school so I didn’t feel the need to have many things until now. Money was also an issue while being in school of course.
- I also still have my studio located in downtown Portland and have lots of projects in my head and notebook that I’m going to start very soon! It’s been a longgg winter and I’m ready for spring and new things sprouting up!
